ETS-UTO Collaborations

1:1 Laptop acquisitions for engineering students

IAFSE has joined with UTO and the downtown campus to offer the 1:1 student laptop purchasing program for engineers. UTO partnered with Dell and Apple to implement the 1:1 concept (one student, one laptop) to make it more attractive for the students to use their own laptops for their school work instead of the remote computer sites. See the UTO 1:1 website for more information.

Project Lead: Steve Ferris

Video conferencing

At Provost Capaldi's request, UTO is researching desktop video conferencing alternatives. ETS is working with the UTO project team to ensure that Engineering's needs are met. Several products are being evaluated to find the best solution for ASU. Contact the project lead for more information.
