Space Survey Assistance:  ASU has developed a very good web page to assist you with completing the Space Survey.  Please review this information  before completing the survey at spacesurvey@asu.edu .   I have additional pointers for Engineering staff  to help keep our required information consistent, please review Engineering Space Survey Review.    And please feel free to call any time with questions 480-458-8371.   Remember the survey is available year round for updates, please keep the information as current as possible.   

Building Maintenance Program: ASU assigns a building maintenance staff to each ASU building. This person performs many small tasks for no charge. This would include changing a light bulb, replacing stained or missing ceiling tiles and many other functions. A simple e-mail to FACMAN will begin the request for this help. Blinds/Window Treatment: Robert Willhoit, Buyer 5-5379. Contact Rob with the building & room number that needs window treatment. He will send the vendor out to measure the windows; the vendor provides the quote to Rob and Rob sends the info back to you for funding. A window covering permit needs to be completed and submitted the form is located at http://cfo.asu.edu/fdm-forms

Carpet/Tile Replacement: Robert Willhoit, Buyer 5-5379 Contact Rob and schedule a time to visit USB and make a selection of carpet/tiles that you want. Rob will contact the vendor, the vendor will come out and measure your space and then send an estimate to Rob, who will send it on to you. A Flooring Permit is needed for floor replacement to check for asbestos, please complete the form at - http://cfo.asu/fdm-forms

Roseanne Barton, Supervisor: 5-1284. Sometimes our rooms can be painted as “maintenance” so there is no charge for the work, but the Paint Shop must determine that. If your area is not considered maintenance the Paint Shop will provide an estimate to fund the work.

Moving and Event Services: Gavin Meland, Supervisor 5-1833 & Ray Morales, Lead Mover 5-1833. The ASU movers will move your items for free, they are able to dismantle and rebuild desk workstations but they are not able to attach anything to the wall, like overhead storage bins. We also have used some off campus vendors that have done great work for us for a fee. Network communication and Cabling.

UTO NET/COMM is ASU’s network provider and supports our Data needs in the IAFSE community. Contact Ed Robinson to coordinate your new data installation in your Lab or office area. Ed can perform a Data Survey and assess the cost of the installation and verify if existing data cabling is in the area prior to the submittal of a service request to NET/COMM. He can also provide you with a quick estimate for budget planning.

ISAAC - ASU's Electronic Door Access Control System

Our main Vendor for installing the ISAAC system is Henry Brother Electronics. Please contact Ed Robinson for assistance. Ed will survey the Lab or Office area and assess the project scope. He can provide you with a quick estimate for budget planning and later provide a official quote from our vendor.  We can also provide training for the use of the ISAAC system and facilitate the processing of your departmental access requests via an assigned department's ISAAC Area Manager.

Audio Video and Multi-Media equipment, installation and assessment

We use several vendors for this process. If you are upgrading a conference room or converting a conference room please contact Ed to assess your equipment and needs. Ed can provide you with a quick estimate for budget planning and later provide you an official quote from one of our vendors
