Software Home Page

Available Software:  Fulton Faculty, Staff, and Employed Students

Several software packages are available for your use. The ASU and Fulton software pages have details. There are separate lists because ASU licenses several packages for university-wide use and the Fulton school licenses engineering software for Fulton use only. The licensing page has more information on the Fulton licenses.

Some of the Fulton software packages are available through "software distribution," where "advertisements" sent to computers let end users install software on their own. Office 2007 is one such package. For more information on Office 2007, see the general information and components pages.

ASU's "My Apps" website allows you to run software remotely, from an ASU server, without installing it on your computer. ASU's software home page has details.  The following page lists the software available on the "My Apps" site.  "Labview" and "Solid Works" are also available on "My Apps."

Available Software:  Students

All software available to students can be obtained using ASU's "My Apps" website. In some cases there will be files that you can save to your computer to use in installing the software on your machine.  In most cases, however, there will be no installer and you will run the software remotely from your computer.

The following page lists the software available on the "My Apps" site.  "Labview" and "Solid Works" are also available on "My Apps."

Note that the "My Apps" website is the only way of obtaining software at this point.  In the past, disks to install software could be checked out from the ETS Help Desk in GWC 181 and from the Engineering Student Center in ECG 120; however, both of these options were discontinued once the "My Apps" website was launched.

Classroom Lab Software

Both ASU and the Fulton school operate several "classroom labs" containing computers and audio-visual equipment. For further information, including locations, software and equipment, see the following pages:
